Why use an IP Strategy Package instead of traditional project-by-project billing?
For clients with recurring IP needs, an ongoing relationship makes it easier to plan ahead. Regular strategy discussions allow us to understand your business, anticipate upcoming issues, and help prioritize legal spending.
What happens during a Strategy Session?
We discuss your business goals and what has changed: new technologies, products, partnerships, competitors, funding, markets, and upcoming decisions. Depending on your needs, we may review existing assets, identify new inventions, discuss protection options, evaluate portfolio costs, or update the IP roadmap.
What does “flat-fee pricing” mean?
For qualifying patent and trademark matters, we offer defined scopes of work at established fees. Clients know the professional fee in advance and can budget accordingly.
How do I choose a package?
The right level depends on the size of your portfolio, the pace of innovation, and how much ongoing legal support your team needs. We can talk through your current priorities and recommend the level that makes sense now. Packages can change as your needs change.
What if we already have an IP portfolio?
That is often where strategic counseling is most useful. We can review an existing portfolio, understand how it relates to current products and technologies, identify gaps or unnecessary costs, and help establish priorities going forward.
Do you work with companies that already have in-house counsel or other IP firms?
Absolutely. We regularly collaborate with internal legal teams and can serve as specialized IP counsel, overflow support, transactional counsel, or strategic advisors for particular technologies or business units. We are comfortable fitting into an existing legal structure rather than replacing it.
